SIHE WOOD & LEGEND GETS TOGETHER

Legend Capital, a VC vehicle of Legend Holdings Limited in China, known for its IBM acquisition and Lenovo brandname, has invested $20 million into Shanghai New Sihe Wood Co., Ltd. (Sihe Wood)

Both parties signed the contract on 18th October 2007 in Shanghai. Government officials, executives of the Chinese flooring industry and the press attended the ceremony held in Xijiao State Guest Hotel, Shanghai.

Sihe Wood has become a major player in the manufacturing and sales of Engineered Wooden Flooring all over the world, with production in Shanghai and Sales subsidiaries in Europe and USA.

This investment will enhance Sihe Wood to control even better the purchasing of raw material and the development of the local market. Now mainly export oriented, it is crucial for Sihe Wood - combined with the rich experience that Legend already has on the local market - that a strong sales and distribution foothold on the Chinese market is created within a short period of time.
